A denture left in a drawer helped shape the question behind RANVOO's AirJet X5.
The product development manager behind the AirJet X5 grew up watching his mother choose soft noodles, porridge, and soup. She had lost seven teeth before turning thirty. Her partial denture often stayed in a drawer because eating with it felt uncomfortable.
Years later, an electric toothbrush he bought for her presented another difficulty: she found the vibration uncomfortable and often returned to her manual brush.
For him, this made comfort a fundamental design consideration. A tool intended for daily care needed to be something she felt comfortable using every day.
Better Cleaner Has to Fit Real Life
His family's experiences highlighted two needs. His mother needed a more comfortable brushing experience. His girlfriend, who brushed diligently but still faced cavities at dental check-ups, prompted him to question how well brushing reached different areas of the mouth.
These experiences became a design brief: support cleaning in difficult-to-reach areas while making everyday brushing more comfortable.
His engineering background gave him a way to explore that question and helped shape the development of AirJet X5.
Giving Air a Role in the Routine
With AirJet, the team explored how airflow could support the work of the bristles. An internal pump introduces air into saliva and toothpaste, creating a flow containing microbubbles that the brush-head design helps direct.
The aim was to bring additional cleaning support to spaces between teeth and around the gumline within the familiar act of brushing. We considered cleaning and comfort together from the start.
Behind that approach is a wish that reaches well beyond a single product: to grow older and still enjoy the foods we love with our own teeth.
For RANVOO, that is the everyday value the engineering should serve.
